excuses schmexcuses, back to work

I have a very good reason for not blogging last week.  Or the week before that.  I do.  It’s filed under The Dog Ate my Homework and I Was Abducted by Aliens.  So here it is:  My inlaws visited, I flew to CO to visit BFF, I’m working on several book covers, the triplets’ crib bumpers needed to be redone and I have shingles.  All of the above are true, but none of them should have kept me from spending one hour a week on my blog.  I’m sorry *hanging head in shame*.

On a very productive and exciting note, Romantic Novel is complete!  It weighed in at 33,000 words, not the 40,000 I was striving for.  But hey, when it’s done, it’s done.  It is being sent to the publisher tonight and I will be posting more news as it becomes available.

I have started working on Hot Redhead YA.  I’ve decided this will be more of a deadline goal than a word-count goal.  Eileen does well with deadlines.  She however does not do well with scheduled writing time, which is what I will have to do to reach my goal.  It will take some poking and prodding to get her up and out of her cave everyday, but I am the boss of her and she does not rule over me.  I hope she didn’t hear that.
